Biting

Xander has had two teeth for a week. I have been battling biting breast baby and feeling a little like I'm in a dr Seuss book apparently.
Solution #1 my friend told me she screamed, her baby got a fright, never bit her again. Xander laughed and immediately bit me again.
Solution #2 ignore bad behaviour. Apart from how difficult it is not to gasp when small sharp little teeth clamp down on your nipple and pull off. Xander still found it fun.
Solution #3 put breast away, baby down. Now when Xander was sick, he cried pitifully when put down on the floor. Unless it was in response to him biting me. Even when i put him on the floor in the emergency department he tucked his chin into his chest and giggled in delight.
Solution #4 put baby in the cot. Tonight Xander and I were in a battle of wills at bedtime. Me feeding him in the chair in his room. Him biting. When caught unawares - I gasped, but I immediately stood up (to his delight) and put him in the cot and walked away. He howled. I came back picked him up, tried again. This happened over 6 times tonight. Except the gasping, Xander does not have a good poker face, he will usually pre-empt the biting with a giggle (tell-tale bad sign when he's breastfeeding and he giggles) or a sly look up at you. He maintains eye contact for the entire process of biting then laughs at his own hilariousness. He did once in the battle of wills commence the process, reconsider and breast feed without an actual bite. I moved on to the next one
Solution #5wet washer to face. Does require pre-planning of having a wet washer nearby. Tried it tonight. Something Xander normally hates, he ignored completely. It's also problematic when your actual goal is putting baby to sleep. I will try it a few more times yet.

How in one week am I so defeated by a 9.5 month old in a battle if wills?

From another angle

Fish

Whole coral trout (the recipe called for a 3 pound fish but this was over 6) the inside rubbed with crushed peppercorns, fennel seeds and coriander seeds then stuffed with leeks and lemon slices with a sea salt crust that you crack and remove and then the skin just peeled away and the flesh was so moist.... That was the half of the meal I prepared. We served it with a beautiful saffron risotto that Matt made and some fresh rocket from our garden and lemon wedges to squeeze over the top and fresh EVOO to drizzle.

The fish before we cracked the salt crust.
