Update

Well I am sitting here with my bird Oscar. He's not realy my bird, he's matthew's. He's an indian ringneck and he's flown away to his cage to sulk currently because I wouldn't let him sit on the top of my laptop. He's a funny clumsy bird (having just fallen from the top of the cage to the playpen on the side and landed heavily on his beak). He has a very bad habit of biting you if you answer your phone. He' s normally reasonably gentle, but he actually goes angrily psychotic if you pick up your mobile or the ordinary phone. You sit there ducking as he swoops at you and then lands and bites you with all his might. I'm not sure how to unteach that behaviour or exactly what it is he has against phones.

He also only talks if you're not there. I was laying in bed one morning and I heard him imitating the phone (a very good, but quiet imitation), then I heard him say "ow, hello". Which I think says a lot about what normally happens when you answer the phone. He does make a noise that sounds a lot like a duck quacking as well.

Probably wondering why I am suddenly updating my blog? pure pathetic loneliness. Matt has gone to Japan for a few weeks, I haven't heard from him at all, I guess he hasn't got the facilities currently to contact me, but it feels lonely. I've even been thinking of cleaning up the house. But that's purely in the realms of imagination at the moment! He'll be away for my birthday:( These things happen. Seeing as this is a really dull rambling log entry, I think I might quit it now.
